Nobody is forcing me to overeat. I choose to eat and eat to become as obese as I please, so I'm in control.

My gluttony is deliberate.

And as for the "other habits, such as those of the mind (lust, covetousness, anger) and unable to keep our mouths from gossip or strife" well . . . . .

I don't have any feeling of lust (except for food) and I do not covet my neighbors good because I'm happy with what I have, and I don't spread lies and gossip, nor would I deliberately cause any strife.

Yes, I do express my political view, and I speak out against injustice and bullying.

Now my views might cause some strife, but then, I don't expect everybody to agree with everything I say.

Speaking out against racism for example: might cause feeling of strife among racists.

Speaking out against bullies might cause feelings strife among those who like to bully people around who can't defend themselves.

So, what should I do?

Keep silent and not speak out against injustice for fear of causing some strife???

In that case, nothing would ever get done to improve the human situation.

So, sometimes on must take an unpopular stand, even at the risk of causing strife.

But sometimes reforms are the result.

Anyway, gluttony is natural. Most people like to eat. It's perfectly natural for people to enjoy food.

Anorexia use to be a rather rare phenomenon and has only become more common place in recent times because of our society that is so obsessed with being thin.

Gluttony is more natural. We are often quick to label smoking and drinking as sins, but for some reason gluttony is accepted or at least tolerated. Many of the arguments used against smoking and drinking, such as health and addiction, apply equally to overeating. Many believers would not even consider having a glass of wine or smoking a cigarette but have no qualms about gorging themselves at the dinner table. This should not be!

Proverbs 23:20-21 warns us, “Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags.” Proverbs 28:7 declares, “He who keeps the law is a discerning son, but a companion of gluttons disgraces his father.” Proverbs 23:2 proclaims, “Put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.”

Physical appetites are an analogy of our ability to control ourselves. If we are unable to control our eating habits, we are probably also unable to control other habits, such as those of the mind (lust, covetousness, anger) and unable to keep our mouths from gossip or strife. We are not to let our appetites control us, but we are to have control over our appetites. (See Deuteronomy 21:20, Proverbs 23:2, 2 Peter 1:5-7, 2 Timothy 3:1-9, and 2 Corinthians 10:5.) The ability to say “no” to anything in excess—self-control—is one of the fruits of the Spirit common to all believers (Galatians 5:22).

God has blessed us by filling the earth with foods that are delicious, nutritious, and pleasurable. We should honor God's creation by enjoying these foods and by eating them in appropriate quantities. God calls us to control our appetites, rather than allowing them to control us.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5921573636001903376.post-59201479780782632982010-01-16T21:05:10.264-08:002010-01-16T21:05:10.264-08:00Rev Big Lard Ass,

I talked to my friend the lawyer,...Dear Everybody,

I talked to my friend the lawyer, and he told me that unfortunately the U.S. Constitution does not protect the right to be fat. This means that the government is allowed to pass laws regulating what we weigh! This is the first step towards a Skinny New World, overseen by Skinny Brother, watching everything we eat.

I personally believe that being fat is a basic human right. Since freedom from starvation is considered a human rights issue, obesity is simply taking that concept a step further, to its logical conclusion. Obesity can be seen as anti-starvation, and therefore, a basic element of human rights. Unfortunately, the U.S. Constitution does not protect all human rights, only whatever is in the Bill of Rights and the other amendments, and the regular constitution. But we can still make this argument in general, because the government does want to respect human rights, in my opinion.

I think that fat people make vastly superior cops compared to muscular cops. Most of what a cop does involves interacting with regular people, not just chasing criminals- its driving around, responding to calls, and filling out paperwork. Fat people are awesome at paperwork, and driving around, because they involve sitting down. When fat cops come to the scene of the crime, they will be better with people skills towards the victims, who are statistically more likely to be fat than skinny. Us fatlings stick together.

I firmly believe that our nation's military NEEDS to create an elite all-SSBBW commando unit of 500 pound women who each weigh 500 pounds or more. Half will be in the Pear Corps, and half will be in the Apple Corps (not the computer company). Unlike thinlings, fatlings can easily wear heavy body armor because it will be a lower % of our total weight compared to skinny people. The SSBBW unit will defeat terrorists by intimidating them with their incredible size and body odor, causing them to fall madly in love, or at least start to masturbate on the spot. Remember, in other cultures, being fat is considered sexy, and this includes many Muslim cultures.

While the bad guys are distracted by the apple shaped SSBBWs on patrol, the pears will take advantage of the situation by using heavy machine guns that normally have to be put on tripods. Since they are so large and bottom-heavy, the pear SSBBWs will be able to steadily hold the guns and not go flying all around unsteadily like a thin person would.

Of course, we would also need to have a cabal of 250 dedicated FAs in order to keep the 500 SSBBWs well-sexed and well-fed and thus ready to go. That's right, each FA gets two SSBBWs. This is to promote competition between the SSBBWs, to encourage them to try to out-gain each other, thus improving overall morale for everyone, and combat effectiveness as previously described.

There, I just solved the terrorism problem. You're welcome.

Regards,

Rev. Big Lard AssRev.
