Weight Loss is OK.

Weight loss is a no no in the old fat acceptance movement but those of us in the New Fat Acceptance Movement see weight loss or weight gain as a personal choice and private matter.  Many fatlings attempt weight loss because they have reasons for wanting to lose weight. Most of the time those reasons are valid. Sadly most of the methods fatlings employ simple don't work and some are very dangerous such as very low calorie diets, weight loss surgery and low carb diets.

Our friend and leanling CG Brady is here to offer practical and effective weight loss advice for those of you who think it would be a good idea to lose weight. Take it away CG!

How to Safely and Effectively Lose Weight and Stay Lean and Healthy by CG Brady

It's been said before but it bears repeating, the one thing all commercial weight loss methods have in common is none of them work. Think about it. If only one out of the thousands of diet schemes out their that promise to be a panacea actually worked the secret would be out and the obesity numbers would be dropping instead of rising. It's a no brainer.

Proud FA, Fat Bastard and Coach Gains can tell you what weight gain and weight loss is all simply a matter of calories in vs calories out. I know there is a lot of pseudoscience that may say otherwise but pseudoscience if usually wrong.

As American we a are greedy shallow bunch. Look at what a vulgar display we have turned Christmas into? VULGAR! We are a food centric people whose social activities revolve around food. Dining out has become our national past time. Cooking is seen more of an inconvenience than a satisfying pursuit. Exercise is seen are torture rather than recreation.

Here are the basic mechanics for safe and healthy weight loss.

If you are over your ideal weight and you want to get to that weight you need to eat less and move more. It sounds simple but the devil is in the details. How every this devil is not nasty devil he's more

like Hot Stuff. Here are the details.

Everyone has a metabolic rate. Your metabolic rate is the rate at which your body burns calories. You metabolic rate is broken down into two sections. One is your basal metabolic rate and the other is your active metabolic rate. Your basal metabolic rate is determined by your body weight and it relatively stable day to day depending on your body weight. If you have a high body weight you will have a high BMR if you have a low body weight you will have a low BMR.

Your active metabolic rate is determined mostly by how active you are. For instance, a lumberjack would have a much higher metabolic rate than an office worker. A lumberjack could easily burn 4000+ calories a day just from the work he does whereas a 175 pound male office worker may burn 900 calories from his daily physical activities.  His resting (basal) metabolic rate 1905 calories per day.    His typical daily activities burn 952 calories per day. His total calories burned is 2857 per day. If this guy wanted to eat only Subway low fat subs he would need to eat six and one half feet of sub sandwiches.

There are 3500 calories in a pound of fat!

The reason that you need to know your BMR is because that is the number you need to drop you daily caloric intake. If you eat at that rate the least amount of weight you will lose is 1 pound per week per 100 pounds of body weight. That means if you are 200 pounds you will at least lose 2 pounds in the first week. If you lose more it is because you are getting exercise.

You will need to design and eat 6 meals a day that together total your BMR. These meals must contain vegetables, fruits, whole grains and lean proteins and some healthy fats. I am not going to spoon feed you that information. You are going to find it out on your own from credible sources.

You need to decide if you want to do this. Are you OK with your obesity and its effect on you and others? If so stay fat but if not then lose weight.

It's your choice.

  1. But exercising is hard! Why can't they just make a pill that just burns the same calories as running 10 miles, then we could just take 1 pill a day and lose the weight that way, and then eat whatever we want and all of us will be athletic like The Situation but we don't have to exercise. Why can't the scientists do this!?

  2. I don't know if scientists can or can't create such a pill. The diet and medical industries have made false claims that they have such a pill but the growing obesity rate pretty much says they are full of shit.

Ugh, I can't believe you guys are allowing pro-weight loss guys on this website! That shit would NEVER fly down on the Biggest Fattest Blog!

That website is the TRUE GAINER'S PARADISE! It's all about different body types, such as apples, and pears. You guys are way behind technologically, compared to the Biggest Fattest Blog.

I think that instead of saying that weight loss is a viable option, we should instead encourage weight gain. It will help our fast food companies, which are the true engines of the entire global economy. In 20 years, 70% of the world economy will be fast food companies and their suppliers. 20% will be medical stuff, 2% will be transportation and infrastructure, 1% will be government etc, and 7% will be everything else, including products such as power scooters and ass floss.

I AM A SLAVE TO FOOD! ALL HAIL FOOD! ALL HAIL THE POWER AND THE GLORY OF THE MIGHTY FOOD! THE POWER OF THE BELLY MUST BE OBEYED! THUS SAYETH THE MIGHTY REVEREND MARK "BIG LARD ASS" SMITH!!

  4. Morbidly Obese Albert,

This is a fat acceptance site not a gainer site. While I agree that weight loss talk should not be tolerated on gainer and feeder sites we allow it here because unlike the old fat acceptance movement we know that many fatlings attempt weight loss. Just because they do that we do not want to shun them. Bigger Fatter Blog welcomes everyone.

There is no doubt that the greatest gaining site is Teddy's Biggest Fattest Blog. I reccommend Teddy's blog above all others because it is science based gluttony and gaining.

Sadly we cannot all grow to mammoth proportions and survive due to our genetics ie apple shape vs pear shape Therefore we sadly must moderate our hedonism in order to live a long time and enjoy food.

Hunger is an itch we fatlings love to scratch. Food tastes best when you are hungry.

The fact is there are some people who are fat and really don't want to be. That number is low but there are enough of them that we cannot ignore our fellow fatlings.

I hope this clears things up. Also, CG Brady saved my life.

  5. In Response To Morbidly Obese Albert:

Yes, I have to agree with Fat Bastard on some things.

Obesity is not for everyone. Some people are unhappy being fat.

But still, almost every fat person who attempts to lose weight, through every method known, and some unknown, the majority will always gain the weight back again, usually gaining back more than they had lost.

So, in the long run, weight loss diets only make us fatter. Very few have lost weight and managed to keep it off. The majority always gain back more than they had lost.

So, on Fat Bastards blog, people are welcome to try to lose weight if they wish, and are not condemned for their attempts.

But we are against Gastric Bypass Surgery, or any kind of surgery to induce weight loss, and against losing weight through anorexia, or any method that might be dangerous.

Also, after many unsuccessful attempts at losing weight and trying keeping it off, they eventually come to accept their obesity anyway.

That is why, on Fat Bastard's blog, people desiring to lose weight are not shunned, and accepted here.

Now, my blog, is definitely a Gainer's Blog, where weight loss is not mentioned in my articles.

But still, I'm not going to censor anyone who posts comments in my blog saying why they want to lose weight. The choice is theirs, and I'm not going to put down anybody who expresses a desire or feels a need to lose weight. They're welcome to post their comments.

But yes, my blog is about relentless gluttony, and for those who wish to become super super super morbidly obese despite the health risks and the dangers or even because of the health risks and the dangers.

My blog is for both super super obese pear-shaped guys and gals and super super super morbidly obese apple-shaped guys and gals.

It's for super obese pear-shape guys who want to hang their lower-bellies below the waist, that huge groin area down over their thighs and deliberately become sexually impotent and unable to have erections, and to deliberately become unable to wipe their own great big fat butts!

And for super super morbidly obese apple-shaped guys who want to hang their upper-bellies down over the waistband of their pants and down over their thighs until their pants fall down, literally eating their pant off!

And these are the guys who really don't care if they only live 30 to 40 years at the most, or perhaps dying of a massive heart attack when they're only in there late 20s or early 30s. These are the guys who want to set new records despite the health risks.

So, my blog are for the Evil Knievels of weigh gain who are willing to risk their lives in the pursuit of super super super massive obesity and setting a new world's record.

  7. Good evening Fat Bastard:

Yes, as I have said, my blog has no articles on weight loss but only on deliberate weight gain.

Of course, since I believe in freedom of speech, I won't put down or censor any comments posted by those who desire to lose some weight, or have chosen to lose weight because they're concerned about their health and want to live longer.

A couple of the more recent posts on my blog were from those who decided that they didn't want to gain any more weight because of health concerns.

I'm looking for some guy who truly want's to achieve the perfect obese male apple-shaped.

As I have said before, I have actually seen some people who's arms were much fatter then their legs.

Several years ago in the down town area of El Paso I saw a guy who looked like he was in his 40s. He was over 6 feet tall, wearing a short-sleeved red shirt and cut-off blue-jean shorts. He had a fat neck, big fat man-boob (moobs) and his belly was about twice as big around as his hips. He had really fat flabby arms and skinny legs, and his arms were actually much bigger around than his legs.

Then, when I was in Roswell New Mexico back in the summer of 1997, I saw an elderly women who looked to be in her mid to late 60s. She was wearing a light blue sleeve-less blouse and greed stretch tights. She had a great big round belly and her arms were really fat and I could see how skinny her legs were. Her wrists were thicker than her ankles! I swear, her fat arms looked to be almost twice as big around as her skinny legs! I kid you not!

So, I have also seen some women with arms bigger around than their legs as well as some guys.

    I really does happen!

And of course, they both looked very unhealthy, and just barely able to walk on their pathetically thin weak legs.

I remember being so fascinated by seeing these two people.

Now, what I hope to see some day is some guy who has achieved the PERFECT apple-shaped obese male body with his upper-arms AND forearms bigger around than his hips. That's what I truly would love to see, or even be! If possible!

So, I'm kind of disappointed in a couple of recent posts, because they sort of back out and don't wish to commit themselves to achieving apple-shaped perfection.

I hope to get a post from someone who is willing to commit himself, or herself to apple-shaped perfection.

Of course, with all the massive upper-body fat being carried about on skinny legs, and having such an enormous belly and small butt, I doubt if anyone could live more than another 3 years or so after achieving apple-shaped perfection.

one would really have to be committed to achieving such a goal despite all the health risks involved.

It's like being a tight-rope walker a thousand feet up with no net below!

So, I'm looking for the Evil Knievel of apple-shaped weight gain.

  8. Apple gaining is high risk...I know!! It's a Catch-22; if the heart attack or stroke doesn't get you the diabetes will.

We apples can never achieve the high body weights you pears can. It's all in the genes.

    ====================

That's why I keeps saying that those who are apple-shaped need to eat more fish to get those good Omega 3 Fatty Acids.

Also, it's not just being apple-shaped that increases the risk of diabetes and heart disease, but having a small butt and skinny legs even further aggravates the risk.

Now, I have seen apple-shaped people with fat butts and fat legs, but they're still classified as being apple-shaped because they have a roll of fat on the lower-back that protrudes out further than the butt and love-handles broader than the hips, and the belly above the waistband is bigger around than the hips.

Apple-shaped obese people with fat legs and a fat butt are at a somewhat lower risk than the apple-shaped people with small butts and skinny legs.

    Anyway . . . . .

I'm in search of someone who wants to achieve the PERFECT apple-shape having arms bigger around than the hips, despite the health risks involved, or even because of the health risks involved because they might find it more of a challenge.

To achieve the PERFECT apple-shape, one has to be really committed to his/her goal.

    That's what I'm looking for.

The perfect apple-shape is quite literally a body to die for!

  10. Everyone knows that most people would like to lose weight, but most don't seem to know the best way to lose weight. To start seeing differences, you have to make some changes in your habit and lifestyle. If you love drinking sodas, iced teas and other flavored beverages, you should stop this bad habit as soon as possible and stick to plain water instead. A small thing like drinking a refreshing glass of water rather than consuming a can of soda could be of big help to your fitness program. Herbalife

    What???

Drinking nothing but just plane water? How boring!

We're not animals! We're human beings, and as such, we like some variety in our lives.

Now there are many healthy alternatives to soda.

I like to drink coffee, but I drink it black with no sugar added. Nothing like a nice cup of coffee when I get up in the mornings.

Also, I like to go into coffee houses and sit down and socialize with people, and have interesting conversations over a nice cup of coffer or Espresso.

It's an intellectual and social thing that human do, instead of being like animals gathered around a watering hole.

Also, there is nothing wrong with having a glass of V8 Tomato Juice. It has no added sugar and it's only 70 calories, much less than soda, and it has lots of vitamins.

Also Herbal Tea is good. Tea has no calories unless you use sugar.

Also, an 8 ounce glass of dry red wine with a meal is good for your heart and circulation, as long as you have no more then two glasses daily or one glass daily for women.

I very seldom have sodas. Perhaps only about twice in a week do I have a can of soda.

I like Canada Dry Seltzer, either Lemon Lime or Mandarin Orange. It's a carbonated beverage with no sugar and no calories.

So, it's nice to have a drink with some flavor.

Humans invented a wide variety drinks with many different flavors, some healthy, and some not.

But some so-called diet experts suggest that we live like animals living on nothing but water and green leaves!

Why must we deny our humanity?

    Plane water only???

    Bah! Humbug!!!
