Weight Loss is OK.
Weight loss is a no no in the old fat acceptance movement but those of us in the New Fat Acceptance Movement see weight loss or weight gain as a personal choice and private matter. Many fatlings attempt weight loss because they have reasons for wanting to lose weight. Most of the time those reasons are valid. Sadly most of the methods fatlings employ simple don't work and some are very dangerous such as very low calorie diets, weight loss surgery and low carb diets.

It's been said before but it bears repeating, the one thing all commercial weight loss methods have in common is none of them work. Think about it. If only one out of the thousands of diet schemes out their that promise to be a panacea actually worked the secret would be out and the obesity numbers would be dropping instead of rising. It's a no brainer.
Proud FA, Fat Bastard and Coach Gains can tell you what weight gain and weight loss is all simply a matter of calories in vs calories out. I know there is a lot of pseudoscience that may say otherwise but pseudoscience if usually wrong.
As American we a are greedy shallow bunch. Look at what a vulgar display we have turned Christmas into? VULGAR! We are a food centric people whose social activities revolve around food. Dining out has become our national past time. Cooking is seen more of an inconvenience than a satisfying pursuit. Exercise is seen are torture rather than recreation.
Here are the basic mechanics for safe and healthy weight loss.
If you are over your ideal weight and you want to get to that weight you need to eat less and move more. It sounds simple but the devil is in the details. How every this devil is not nasty devil he's more
like Hot Stuff. Here are the details.
Everyone has a metabolic rate. Your metabolic rate is the rate at which your body burns calories. You metabolic rate is broken down into two sections. One is your basal metabolic rate and the other is your active metabolic rate. Your basal metabolic rate is determined by your body weight and it relatively stable day to day depending on your body weight. If you have a high body weight you will have a high BMR if you have a low body weight you will have a low BMR.
Your active metabolic rate is determined mostly by how active you are. For instance, a lumberjack would have a much higher metabolic rate than an office worker. A lumberjack could easily burn 4000+ calories a day just from the work he does whereas a 175 pound male office worker may burn 900 calories from his daily physical activities. His resting (basal) metabolic rate 1905 calories per day. His typical daily activities burn 952 calories per day. His total calories burned is 2857 per day. If this guy wanted to eat only Subway low fat subs he would need to eat six and one half feet of sub sandwiches.
There are 3500 calories in a pound of fat!
The reason that you need to know your BMR is because that is the number you need to drop you daily caloric intake. If you eat at that rate the least amount of weight you will lose is 1 pound per week per 100 pounds of body weight. That means if you are 200 pounds you will at least lose 2 pounds in the first week. If you lose more it is because you are getting exercise.
You will need to design and eat 6 meals a day that together total your BMR. These meals must contain vegetables, fruits, whole grains and lean proteins and some healthy fats. I am not going to spoon feed you that information. You are going to find it out on your own from credible sources.
You need to decide if you want to do this. Are you OK with your obesity and its effect on you and others? If so stay fat but if not then lose weight.
It's your choice.

Increase Your Belly Obesity
Through the miracles of modern modern medicine it is now possible to get more fat from your gluttonous eating to end up on your belly. Today massive belly obesity is easier than ever! It turns out that drugs like Paxil, Zoloft, Selexa and all the other drug in that class called SSRIs (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors) will really help you pack on the belly blubber. You won't find gaining tips like this on Dimensions or Belly Builders. This is real science like the kind you will find on "Dr" Gerald "Teddy" Bear's authoritative Biggest Fattest Blog.
Here is how Zoloft and other SSRIs work to increase you belly blubber. SSRIs like Zoloft increase your cortisol levels. When you increase cortisol levels, you experience edema, water retention — weight gain. People on these SSRI antidepressants average a whopping 60-70 pounds in weight gain. If you think that's great most of it goes to your belly! How cool is that! If you eat sweets it will work even better.

In order for you to understand what causes people to do something so awful, and so completely out of character for them, you have to look at what is happening in their bodies while on drugs like Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Luvox, Celexa, Sarafem, Fen-Phen, Redux, Meridia, Effexor, Serzone, Wellbutrin or Zyban; what is happening in their brains; and what is happening to their cortisol levels.
A single, 30 mg dose of Prozac — that's a pill and a half — given to someone who has never taken the drug before, and who never takes it again, will double his or her cortisol levels.
Why is this significant? Research indicates that high cortisol levels cause:
- Brain damage.
- Cushing's Syndrome, characterized by a hump at the top of the spine, rounded body with smaller arms and legs, round face, like you would see with Down's Syndrome, and emotional instability. Moods can fluctuate from degrees of euphoria or mania, and full psychosis, to the depths of depression. Other problems associated with Cushing's Syndrome include:
- Irritability. (Fat Bastard loves being ornery.)
- Decreased ability to handle stress. (So what?! Just get more drugs! Sheesh!!)
- Decreased glucose tolerance, which often develops into hypoglycemia and diabetes. (Injecting a little extra insulin is a great way to increase appetite and thanks to Liberty Medical all your diabetic supplies are FREE! It's a win win situation!)
- Muscle weakness, brought on by potassium loss and / or the actual metabolism — or wasting — of muscle mass, capillary weakness, brought on by protein loss, and poor wound healing. (Again, this is a good thing muscle loss lowers your metabolic rate so you can get fatter on less food. This is a positive side effect!)
- Bone demineralization and susceptibility to fractures, due to decreased bone mineral, and calcium in the urine. (Big deal! Get a power chair! They're free too!)
- Retarded bone growth in children, probably for the same reasons. (They won't run around as much and they will get fat and fat kids are cute.)
- Edema, renal disorders, fluid retention around the face and eyes. Hypertension, from sodium and water retention. (This too is good because you will look even fatter!)
- Protruding abdominal cavity, which is why both men and women begin to look pregnant after using these drugs for a while. (...And this is a bad thing?)
- Girdle obesity. (That's a bad thing?)
- Increased production of androgen steroids, resulting in abnormal mammary gland function in men, even to the point of producing milk, and masculinizing of features in women, including excess hair growth on their face, neck, chest, abdomen and thighs. (A lot of the fat girls get pig bristles and most of the are on Paxil for their fat girl histrionics. A lot of FAs find it sexy. Men producing milk is a good thing. What if big mama's tits dry up? Having some back up milk for baby is a good thing!)
- Acne. (Fat guys love popping zits.)
- Peptic ulcers. (Not if you eat first.)
- Decreased or depressed immune system, and suppressed inflammation response, which can mask some very serious infections. (OK one very minor risk)
When you're literally doubling your cortisol levels on a daily basis, your body is completely deteriorating. I can't think of anything more damaging to the body — or the brain — than that huge increase of cortisol.

Fat Pride + Southern Pride = Southern Heritage
The big ole fat swag bellied fat folks of the South know how to live. Let's forget all the bad things like slavery, the KKK, lynchings, bigotry, Bible thumping, inbreeding and segregation and concentrate on the good things like obesity, gluttony and food.
If the symbol for rest of America is the bald eagle the symbol for the South should be the pig. OINK! OINK! OINK!
If you want to see super morbid obesity unbridled food lust and hyper gluttony gas up your van and head South of the Mason - Dixon line. As soon as you get into the Red States you will begin to see less of the econo boxes that the blue neck thinlings in the North drive and more gluttonous SUVs and pick-up trucks.
Want to go for a stroll? Forget it! Side walks a few and far between. No self respecting Southerners walk, at least not the White ones. Bubba rides and when he rides he rides in style.
Take pride sons and daughters of the South, your pulled pork, cracklins, hush puppies, fat back, banana pudding and sweet tea along with your sloth has made you rebels the fattest fatlings on the planet! Now that's something to be proud of.
"But Fat Bastard," you ask, "Aren't most Southerners a bunch of fundamentalists and evangelicals who are against things like pride, sloth and gluttony?" That is a common misconception. Pride, gluttony and sloth are three of what the Catholics call the seven deadly sins. The seven deadly sins are an invention of one of the Popes. They don't apply to Southern Baptists, Pentacostals and other fundagelicals.

More Proof: Gluttony is Good!
Americans are the fattest, greediest and most gluttonous people on earth. Look at the cute little fat tyke on the right and look how American greed and gluttony has served him. God smiles down on greed and gluttony and he abhors humility. Look at the abundance he has showered on the US.
Fattitude! Without fattitude we could never have greedy gluttony and we would be just like those poor saps in Africa. Corporate greed and gluttony is what made America great and we little piglets at the trough must battle the big boars for our share of the kibble just like the greedy little pigs we are. OINK!
The constant battle between the few big pigs and all the little pigs is what makes America the most greedy and gluttonous country on earth.
Greedy gluttony means much more than food lust. In this song we can substitute the words "it's food that I love" in place of "it's money that I love". We are all greedy pigs it's just that some are more aggressive than others.
Luckily we still have enough humble but powerful thinlings to keep the biggest piggies from hoggin all the goodies.
